Assalam o Alaikum!

Today I cleaned my room after the exam. The maid cleans it every day but I am talking about cleaning all the class work I had done and the rough work done during exams plus also changed the position of my bed which i moved under the fan during summer. The weather is getting cool now and although fans are still needed but moving the bed to its original place is OK now.

I have separate files for each subject so I collected them all put them in a polythene bag and shifted them to the store where i still have my first year's class work. This time I finished two registers during the preps and exam. They alos joined their older fellows in the store. My drawer also underwent my "Operation Clean Sweep" . Khair it was Asar prayer's time when i was finished with it.

I don't know what wrong with me today as I also went to the Helipad(jogging track) for jogging and some light excercise. I made only a single round which is about 800 meters. Now I gotta go to take a quick shower before the Esha Prayers.

It's Tayyeb here...after a looooong time. Now I am completely free, no more exams atleast in engineering. The engg exams may be over but some other kind of exams have started now...i.e those related to jobs, interviews and so on. Due to the high degree of uncertainity in our dear country, I hav to go for every available job and still haven't got any confirmed.

Ab to yeh silsila chalta rahay ga... I mean writing about job applications and their outcomes. But I hope this time would end soon and hopefully I'll be blogging about my job in the near future.
I have one interview in KANNUP on 17th sept so plz pray for my success...

Sher Khan was the youngest of his two brothers and two sisters. His mother died in 1978 when he was eight. He was brought up by his paternal aunts. His family is deeply religious and they say that Sher was an embodiment of piety and Islamic teaching.
After completing his intermediate from Government College Swabi he joined Pakistan Air Force as an air man. On completion of his training, he was appointed electric fitter (aeronautical) at Risalpur. During these years he appointed twice for commission in the Pakistan Army as this was what he really wanted to do — he succeeded the second time. He joined the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul in November 1992 and graduated in the 90th Long Course in 1994. His first posting was at Okara in 27th Sindh Regiment. Always smiling as a devoted soldier, he was fondly called Shera and was very popular among his officers and colleagues. In January 1998 he volunteered to serve at the LoC in Kashmir, he was posted in 12 NLI.

I am feeling better today but haven't started my studies after i left it some days ago due to bad throat, temperature and flu. The preps already seem to be insufficient and now this gap of 5 days have made the task of completing my prep with in the preps more difficult. I take a lot of tension during normal days but when it comes to preps i waste some days doing nothing and even during the gaps some times i dont utilise all the available time. This is very dangerous and i must start studying seriously coz this is the last year at university and the last chance to improve my overall percentage. Time is certainly the single most important thing in a student's life and i dont know why i waste it. i mean i know its importance but still i waste my time.. by the way what do we call this kind of behaviour ... any one?

On the other hand pakistan beat india today in a very comprehensive way and it was a treat to watch that game. After a long time the pakistani team provided their nation a chance to watch such a match. I've almost stopped watching cricket because of the poor performance of our cricket stars. They can't find the right combination of batsmen to open the innings and i think Shahid Afridi along with Salman butt is a good choice and they should stick to it in the future matches.

Congratulations to prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles for becoming man and wife - more than 30 years after their romance began. i guess they truely love each other, but only time will tell whether its true or not. I wish them luck.

I missed my farewell party due to the goddamned strike of MMA. I dont know what do they get by making our life more difficult. It would have been so fun but i m siting here in my rooom and my friends are enjoying themselves in university. wish i was there...Preps have started and the bad days have come. now i'd have to study alooot...which i don't like. Spent last week in hostel doing work on my FYP but couldn't quite finish it . I took it too lightly and didn't do any thing throughout the year now we dont have time to do it in a way it deserves to be done. There is no time now cuz have to prepare for the exam and when the exam is over we'll have not more than 15 or 20 days. so i m banking on those days to finish it. God help me..

We have no class today except a lab of control systems at 12 . so me just killing time here in the computer lab. Hassan gave me a programming problem yesterday for which i made an assemly language program and tested it today on the 8085-SDK in the Digital electronics lab. It didn't work in the first run but then after checking it and doing some debugging i found the bug. it was wrong jump location so i entered the correct address and the run was successful. Then i came here to do the thing which i like the most , wasting time over the internet.
I havent changed my blog skin for quite some time now ,so chose one from templates available at blogger.com . I am not gona use this permanently coz i dont have time to edit it in dreamweaver and make the necessary changes that would give my blog the look i want it to have.
so for the time being i've changed it just for the sake of change. hassan has also arrived and now he is asking to go somewhere else so bye for now

Assalam o Alaikum!

I dashed to village yesterday and came back today. It's a 2 hour drive from peshawar to my village in swabi. My mamoo had invited my ami abu for lunch which was to be served today. Some other newly wed couples were also invited and in all there were more than 40 ppl, both men and women. The cook , (called Daigmaar in pashto) arrived early at around 8 am and set up his big daig and other pateelay and prepared fire. The chicken, rice and meat were already bought and prepared the day before. Everything was available and ready to be cooked but there was one big problem, the fire wood.Due to intermittent rains which lashed most of pakistan during the past few days , every thing including the fire wood was wet . And it wasn't catching fire. We tried everything from plastic bags , to old hawaii chapal but of no use. Then we threw the core of corns , which are generally used as a fuel in villages in winter, in to the temporary wood burning stove specially set up by the cook for preparing the Daig. I hope u know what a Daig is? ( its a big round container for cooking rice) The corn core burned easily but the wood logs were not catching fire which made my mamoo mad and he was on fire taking my cousins to task for bringing wet wood logs. Khair by the grace of Allah everything was prepared by 2:30 pm and the guests were served.
First all the men were served and when they were done ,the ladies had their share. After that I along with my cousins had a sumptuous lunch. The food was gr8 plus we had to wait so long so it was soo delicious. Then we set out for peshawar at 4:45 pm and reached here safe and sound at 6:48 pm.
It was a nice shift from routine and enjoyed it. met all the cousins and its really fun meeting all of them at a single place. Also watched "Dil Mangay more" last night which was quite good. i liked it, especially falling for different ladies one after other. Here in my home i have some movies in the hard drive but don't get time to watch them. ok take care for now. c u gals n guys later.

I am so busy nowadays, busy coz of studies. The teachers are giving us real tough time. There are Tests, vivas, assignments and along with them presentation bhe daini hai. We are so busy in university that we dont get time to talk about things other than studies. with all these tensions there is some other tension also. I m thinking about it all the time. its helplessness at its height. I don't wana start my life as a looser.it's gona be the first major failure of my life. but despite knowing whats going to happen , i can't do any thing about it.

Self-Esteem

George made a very common mistake on that cold, fictional night when he determined his worth based purely on his finances.
It took a second-class angel named Clarence to restore his self-esteem and show him vividly how valuable his life really was.
Although Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life is just a movie (and a great one at that), it's a great example of true self-esteem.

Self-esteem is value or worth that one bestows on oneself.
It is the inner feeling one has about oneself.
High self-esteem is a character trait of a healthy individual.
One can never have too much self-esteem.
Self-esteem is loving oneself, whereas over-confidence and narcissism are being in love with oneself.

Our current level of self-esteem is low, high, or somewhere in between and is always changing.
For many people, they go through life with low self-esteem and never do much to improve their situation in life because they feel deep inside they are just not worth it.
Many of these feelings of inadequacy come from childhood and the school system.
Adolescents have a seemingly natural ability to be able to lower the self-esteem of just about any individual.
Unfortunately, despite their age, some people never mature mentally past adolescence and the destructive criticism and mental abuse continues to be dished out to their children, employees, and/or students.

As adults, we often give ourselves low self-esteem by associating our self-worth with our bank accounts.
We see rejection and failure as permanent, and give into a negative mental attitude such as, "why not smoke, we're all going to die eventually anyway".

The best thing you can do for yourself is love yourself.
For those of you who think that sounds too mushy, I will rephrase that to: the best thing you can do for yourself is build your self-esteem.
Individuals with high-self esteem:

are self-motivated
accept responsibility for their actions
take pride in their accomplishments
are loving and lovable
are capable of handling criticism
take command and control of their lives
are focused on goals
have tolerance and respect for others
have integrity
are willing to take risks

It is amazing how much time and money people will spend on temporary feel-good-about-themselves solutions, yet not do a thing to create lasting self-esteem. A new suit will make one look and feel sharp, but that feeling will quickly wear off with the novelty of the suit. The outside-in approach to building self-esteem is about looking your best to feel your best and works well in the short-term, but should be used in conjunction with, and not in place of, the inside-out approach of building lasting self-esteem.

Success without high self-esteem is not likely.
People detect low self-esteem in others and will treat them accordingly.
Fortunately, building self-esteem is quite easy, especially for those with a positive mental attitude.
Here are several ways you can build your self-esteem from both the outside in and the inside out.

Outside In

Carry yourself well.
Keep your head up, shoulders back and chest out.
Don't be a sloucher.
Dress for success. Look nice when going out in public.
A simple rule is to dress just a bit better than the others you come across.
Take care of your personal hygiene as well.
Speak clearly and confidently. Do not slur your words or mumble.
Make eye contact when speaking with someone.
Stay in shape. Take care of your physical body.

Inside Out

Realize your importance to others.
Think about all the lives that have been and are being touched by your life.
Self-worth is based on what you are capable of doing, not what you have done.
Since human potential is limitless, thus your potential is limitless; your self-worth is limitless as well.
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" is one of the wisest truisms of our time said by the very bright Eleanor Roosevelt.
The feelings of emotion, such as inferiority, are something we generate within and over which we have control. Do not allow others' perceptions or comments to negatively affect your self-esteem.
Engage in positive self-talk.
Your subconscious mind has much to do with your self-esteem. Be careful what you say to yourself because your subconscious mind is always listening.
Invest in yourself. Books, tapes, classes, on-line courses, and anything that will feed your mind with knowledge and positive information are all great investments in you.
Work on specialized skills that will make you more marketable in the workplace.
Realize that rejection and failure made you stronger and smarter.
Rejection and failure are not always "bad" things.
Rumor has it, Colonel Sanders was rejected over 1000 times before he sold his chicken recipe.
Rejection and failure are a part of life and two things successful people encounter more often than those who are afraid to try.

Healthy self-esteem is an important part of happiness in life and high self-esteem is vital to success. You are a unique individual and have it within yourself to accomplish such wonderful things.
The moment you realize this, you will possess the gift of high self-esteem.

KMC freshman girls to study on separate campus
Staff Report PESHAWAR: The segregation of the female students of the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme at Khyber Medical College (KMC) in Peshawar has been criticised by parents, students, teachers and civil society organisations.The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal government had set up a separate campus for first year girl students but they were reluctant to take classes separately. Only three students had shown willingness to study at new campus. “The government might have taken the step in good faith but it will negatively affect the students because basic facilities are missing in the new campus,” Dr Lal Noor, father of a first year student, told Daily Times. The girls, he said, preferred the previous campus but were being forced to attend the new one. “The girls will have to go to Hayatabad, which is three kilometres away from KMC, to attend only two classes and will have to return to the main campus to use dissection hall and laboratory,” he said.The girl-students had sent a petition to the president and the prime minister to persuade the MMA government to review its policy. The petition read: “It should surprise no one that students are unhappy to hear that they are being shifted from Khyber Medical College in Peshawar to some other place that does not have the required facilities. It is most difficult to understand the insistence on applying an idea grounded in ill-considered and illogical thinking that first, girls need a separate medical college and second, that it is necessary to separate only forty girls from the total.”Dr Asghar Khan Jadoon, member of the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, said that it was ‘strange’ that one college had two separate campuses for girls and boys. “The government’s policy of segregating the girls carries no legal position,” he said. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has also criticised the segregation of girls. “We support the students’ demand to continue their education at the main KMC campus,” said Sher Muhammad Khan, vice president of HRCP in NWFP.

Last thursday we went to CTI Islamabad on a study tour and on our way back to peshawar it started raining when we were somewhere aroung Pabbi. It's been one full week since the rain started and it still is . The rain is slow but steady . The teacher isn't taking the class today coz roof is leaking and every body takes a little shower when we enter the class. It's good for those who take showers only on Eid Days and gives a shiver every time we enter the class. The girls are having more problems coz they sit in the front row and are really enjoying the water pool created in front of them. It's a shame the way our university buildings roofs are leaking but isn't that a quality of government own educational institutions and our university is also one of them.

A strong weather system is entering Pakistan from the west. As a result, heavy widespread rain and storms are expected in Balochistan and parts of Sindh province. Widespread heavy rain and snowfall over the last week have cut off many northern parts from the rest of the country. At least 10 people, mostly children, have been reported dead as buildings collapsed in the districts of Mansehra and Batgram in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP).

and if that was not enough n earthquake of about 4.8 magnitude jolted the districts of Batgram and Mansehra, about 100 km north of the capital, on Saturday afternoon. There were no report of deaths or injury. However, the aftershocks have sparked a wave of panic amongst the population.
Ya Allah plz save us from the destruction of these rains and other natural calamitites. Ameen.

Me along with my class fellows went to Islamabad on a study tour of CTI , Carrier Telephone Industries on 3rd Feb 2005. We started our journey at around 8:45 am and reached there at 11:30 am. We were received by 3 senior engineers of CTI and briefed about its history and products. Before this visit i thought that it is a private company but they told us that it is owned jointly by PTCL and Siemens Germany. Then they divided us into groups of 20 students each and gave us lab coats to wear to keep safe from some kind of radiations or whatever. Being engineering student , we felt a little odd in lab coats coz its generally associated with medical guys. One of the engineers took us inside the factory and showed us different sections of the facility where different jobs were being done. Mainly they produced Multiplexers and demultiplexers for use in voice communications in installed in the Telephone exchanges . they claimed that there products are used in more than 80 % of the Ptcl exchanges. After the visit was over we were briefed again for some time and after a Q&A session we went to the cafe where we were served some light refreshments , actually it was too light coz they could manage only a cup of tea along with some cookies. khair as they say something is better than nothing. then we said the Zuhar prayers in the CTI's mosque and left it at around 2:30 pm.

We also visted Daman-e- Koh and Jinnah super but about them i'll tell u later.

Today we had another test but this time of Communications Systems. My prep wasn't the way i it was supposed to be but by the grace of Allah i did fine. Last night i was up till 4 in the morning, even watched Shrek 1 when i was fed up of preparing for the test. Hassan made Maggie noodles and a special milk shake of dates .It was gr8 but couldnt enjoy it fully coz i had overeaten earlier at dinner. Khair Allah ka shukar hai test acha ho gaya hai.
My ammi abu came back after performing hajj on 26th of jan. Alhamdollilah they returned safe and sound and performed their hajj in a very good manner by the grace of Allah. It's also one of the reasons why i couldn't prepare in time for the test . i was kind of excited when they returned along with lots of Aab-e- Zam Zam and dates from Makkah and Medina. They went to village yesterday but i was in hostel with hassan so i couldn't see them off and today when i go back home itwould be soona soona. Allah karay khairiat say jald wapas ajain. ameen.
I also joined orkut the other day. One of my friends invited me and i ain't gonna invite any one else there. I'd like only her to be on my friends list.
ok gtg coz its 2pm and the lab is about to close and busses ready to go.

I am back after a long break. We had a "Communication Networks" test today. It was MCQ type and had 60 questions. I did well but some didnt know answer to some of the questions but thanx God its over now. Most of my class fellows are studious and every one was studying as if it was the final exam. I spent the last three days in Hostel N0 8 of UET Peshawar with my friend hassan as he thought i am good at comm net and would help him in his studies. I did my best to help him but at the end we couldn't complete our prep and left one chapter unprepared . Lets hope the result comes as early as possible coz i always wait eagerly for my results.

It was cloudy today since morning and had rained the previous night. I thought there was no chance of rain but it did rain slowly and steadily almost all day . We had only 2 classes today and then chutiiiiii. me and hassan went to the office of the National book Foundation to enquire about the reader's club membership and surprisingly the membership was open and the cards were available . Two photographs and Rs 100 were required for the membership but i had only 1 photo , the other one was a class 7th pic which i like so much and carry in my wallet all the time. Well i decided to visit the office which is in Hayatabad phase 1 and try my luck with a single pic but it wasn't my lucky day. The rain started as soon as we set out towards the College Gate and was too taiz when we reached Phase 1. I thought it is in the main PDA building , we roamed around it , asked some persons but none could help . One kind man guided us to a photo state shop who knew where the office of NBF was located. He sent us towards a big tower to which nothing was connected , so i suppuse it was just a wastage of a few thousand kilos of iron. it was about 500 meters away and we were absolutely drenched when we reached there. and as it turned out it right opposite to the building of Institue of Management Sciences, IMS. There i bought the form for Rs 5 , took out the copy of my NIC card and 1 photo but as i told you today wasn't my lucky day and he refused to give me membership without 2 pics. I had a photo copy of my pic but he said he can't use a photo copy despite my very innocent kind of requests. All my persuation couldn't budge him. very reluctantly i got off the headed for sadar bazar to be photoed . Then went to hostel with hassan and at 4:30 pm went to sadar again to pick up the photos and catch the bus for home. The pics were , not very impressive but will do fine coz i am not going to send them to marriage bureau or post on some match making site. i'll post it here if i am able to download hello now.

Assalam o Alaikum!

At last v r going to our village to celebrate EID there with rest of the family. EID is so fun there and here in our camp there is nothing much to do except attending an Eid Milan party at the Officers Mess. Abu had no plan of going to village but bilal wouldn't let him sit peacfully and finally he succumbed to the pressure and now we are preparing our bags and packing our eid clothes. Last Eid at village was really a memorable one. I never had such a good eid before in my life , just like the one i used to had in my childhood. InshaAllah i'll post some EID pics here when i return back.
Today is probably the last fast adn the holy month of ramzan is almost over. All the fasts were very fine but yesterday i wasn't feeling well when i woke up in the morning. I was feeling kind of vertigo, my head was spinning and was dizzy all day but by the grace of Allah the day passed with khair and was feeling ok at night.

Eid is just round the corner. We have already started our eid holidays ;) and would return on 22nd November. Hassan left his pc with me and i thougnt y not apply me ccna knowledge by interconnecting my and hassan's pc. So went to Gul haji plaza to buy an NIC card and Cat 5 cable. got both forRs 150 . A cross cable is needed to connect two similar devices like a pc to pc or router to router but the boy in the shop where i bought the cable made a straight cable. At that time i didn't notice it so when i connected the two pc's it didn't work. And i was really mad at the boy and myself for not paying attention. I cought the shopping coach and went back there this time i wasn't taking any chances so i told him the combination my self and this time connection was established. i was kind of excited. I ran the home network wizard on both pc's and my little home network was up and running. Did some copy pasting , i mean shared some files between the two pc's. So the effort payed at the end. But the most exciting part is multiplayer games. yes u can play games with each other. I had NBA 2003 which i installed on both pc's and I was still playing it before writing this post. I hope hassan comes back late so that i hav more time to play multiplayer games ;)

We have dropped the idea of doing our FYP in image compression coz no one encouraged us to take up that thing. Every one said its too difficult and time consuming. Difficulty isn't a problem but time is coz there are other subjects as well which need more time than the project. so for the time being its digital Filters, we have our eyes set on.

The new computer lab of our department i.e, Electrical and Electronics Deptt was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor today at 10 pm. I was also picked up by our Chairman, Sir Haider Zaman to welcome the VC . Only few students from each class were selected by the chairman himself for the inauguration ceremony and I was also one of them. Actually selection was made only among boys as all the girls were invited. After the inauguration, honourable VC Syed Imtiaz Hussain Gillani made a speech recounting his achievements and some of his future plans. I personally think he is not bad and he is trying to make our UET a good place to study at and also trying hard to improve its image in the country. There were also some refreshments after his speech was over but unfortunately Hessian couldn't enjoy it coz he had to attend nature's call he wasn't aware that refreshments were also being served.

After all this me and Hessian went to the new lab and checked our emails as well as browsed some sites about image processing and MATLAB. I also sent some sms to my bro and cousin and a class fellow. I was expecting Usman at 12 pm but he arrived at 12.20 pm. I had asked him the previous day to come to my uni to discuss the FYP. I took him to the new lab and we discussed it there. But couldn't reach an agreement , I mean my project is still undecided. He suggested to join some groups like yahoo or msn to get an idea from some one over the internet. I'll try that also and also consult a teacher tomorrow . may be he has some good idea.

Also went to Saddar with my cousin after many days. He bought a new mobile for himself, the Nokia 6600 for 18,500 paki rupees along with a memory card of 128 MB and a Bluetooth device and paid a total of 21,500 Rs.

And now I m feeling quite tired and somewhat sleepy. I m gonna go to sleep early tonight. There will be no classes till next Monday. so I may not go to university tomorrow if I don't feel like. Now that's what I call FREEDOM.

Spent the day in university reading the MATLAB book. Also went to Usman's university but as usual he wasn't there. It's kind of strange but Ii have never found him in his department except for 2 or 3 exceptions. Actually I wanted to consult him regarding our final year project. One of our teacher, Ma'am Sara suggested to pick up a project related to image compression. Usman is also doing something related to image processing as his final year project so I thought he would be able to guide us and get us started on this project. Previously we were plannig to design digital filters but ma'am Sara said that this project has been done quite a few times and we must do something new so dropped digital filters and are now going into the world of image processing. But we are still far from deciding what exactly would be our project. Only time will tell. One thing is for sure that whatever we do , we'll do it using MATLAB.

Today we had only three classes and I m free since 11.00 am. The first class was that of Control Systems, 2nd of Communication Networks and third one of Micro Processors. All of these classes were interesting but now right now i m bored to death. I've just been wandering here and there since then. First went to cafeteria , then played a game of Table tennis which i lost but still i had much time to kill so went to library but found nothing interesting there and after flipping through the days paper checked out the computer lab once again and fortunately after some wait found a pc and writing this post now.

Final year has started and as usual time is passing quickly. It won't be long when i'll be bidding farewel to UET peshawar and setting off for a new life, my practical life, leaving behind friends and offcourse foes.

My day started not in a very good manner. I missed my camp's bus and then I went to scheme choke ( at a distance of 1.5 km from my home) to catch the bus of UET but unfortunately missed that bus also and then i had to go by bus # 3 and i don't wana comment on the condition of 3 no buses now.I reached university 10 minutes late but fortunately the teacher wasn't there and neither did he come till the end of the class. so first class was free and had to take only 3 classes :) I had an appointment with the dentist today,so after taking classes I went to the Dental Unit of PAF Base Peshawar to fill one of my poor teeth. I know i don't care much for them but afterall they are my teeth and they should be good to me and not give me any trouble.

The merit lists are being prepared these days for admission to first year engg. The self finance scheme has been abolished and now all seats would be given on merit. This is an important and good decision for those who don't have three hundred thousands to pay for admission to UET. There are many private engg colleges and universities in Pakistan now. So those who can pay hefty amount of fees can easily take admission in one of these institutions.

I've been inviting people to join Gmail since yesterday. They offered me to invite my friends so i hav sent 4 invitations so far and only one of them has accepted. I hope others would also accept once they receive the mail.
Went to university today to return the books a borrowed from libraray and also borrowed some final year books. initially the librarian was hesitant to issue me books but then i think he took pitty on me and issued them to me. also i gave my notes , my precious notes to Kinaan. I think he's a nice guy so i happily give my notes to him each year. Then went to hassan's room and installed some softwares on his new PC like Electronic workbench, Acrobat reader, Encarta Encyclopaedia and more than 300 songs :) Also installed my favorite game Max Payne and played it a little.
Hassan also brought some gifts for me from karachi. I dont know why he gives gifts to me coz i hav never given him anything. bohat fazool banda hai.

I am trying desperately to shutdown a remote computer using shutdown command but it isn't working. it only works on my own pc.
Hassan is on his way to Peshawar from karachi. May be he is in southern districts of NWFP right now and will reach here , peshawar, tomorrow inshaAllah. I have completed the CCNA course and am a CCNA now recognised by Innova and not by CISCO. I have no intentions of taking the certificate exam now. May be later.The vacations are coming to an end at last. 1st say university jana hai.

Life is quite busy these days. Our teacher at innova is making me mad. He is going to England for studies and every other day he has some business to do at that time when he should be teaching us CCNA. I don't know what the hell is wrong with him. I feel happy for him but why the heck is he making us suffer? He is making me lose interest in the course .We were doing quite good but then England jumped in and he is just like Eid ka chand for us.
ok some good news now. I am making my homepage these days. I already have one in yahoo geocities but thats not so good. Now i m making it using Dreamweaver. its a great software but at times it gets mind bogling. Some times the links go dead, they won't work whatever i do, however i link them but it wont do anything and I have to remake those pages. It's consuming so much time. Initially i made the site in 2 days but then my elder brother reinstalled windows and deleted all my hardwork and i was real mad at him and so dissapointed but then i started all over again and its almost finished now. I am planning to launch it on 14th August, our Independence Day. wish me best of luck.

On 8th July I joined my Innova IT institute to study CCNA. It's been a good experience so far. we are into the 5th chapter of Todd Lammle's Study guide. The basic networking was quite interesting but now the emphasis is on Cisco Routers , and thats what CCNA is all about, Cisco and Routers.

The teacher is not bad i mean good and has CCNA and MCSE certificates. most of us use internet nowadays but very few know how it came into being and how it works. Now i have some knowledge as to how it all works but still dont understand completely the whole process. InshaAllah i'll learn with time more and more.

The institute is located in City Towers on university road. Our class is from 4pm to 5 pm . Coveyance is a problem for me, very big prob. I have to change 3 differnt vehicles to reach there and that also in scorching sun and heat . if u live in pakistan than u probably know what i mean . Well i reach there usually at abt 3:45 pm and then we take the class till 5 pm and then again the same process is repeated in reverse direction . but the good thing is that I know that i m putting my time into something usefull and InshaAllah will help me in my future. u know what? i m also planning to do something related to networking as my Final year project. So wish me luck in my endeavors.

A huge total by Pakistan's batsmen helped them to an easy 173-run win over Hong Kong in the Asia Cup in Colombo.
Shoaib Malik was the key man, blasting a career-best 118 off 110 balls in Pakistan's 343-5, then taking 4-19 as Hong Kong were skittled out for 165.

After Inzamam-ul-Haq won the toss and elected to bat, Hong Kong enjoyed some early success as Pakistan openers Imran Nazir and Imran Farhat were dismissed rather cheaply.
Khalid Khan trapped Nazir lbw for 10, and when Alexander French caught Farhat off Khan for 20, Pakistan were reduced to 51-2.
But Malik and Younis soon put paid to any faint hopes Hong Kong might have had of causing an upset, blasting the bowling to all corners of the ground.

You may ask if i have any thing else to do other then changing skings of my blog. well yes i have but i m free these days and wana utilise them for making rather choosing a good skin and this is the latest i have. I m gonna stick to this one for quite some time now and do some blogging ;)

On the other hand i m still not feeling 100% .Today went to Peshawar Public School and College along with my cousin Asad who is taking admission there in First year.But there was one thing missing in the documents , an affidavit that his father will pay all the expenses. Rs 30000 per year. For this we had to go to District courts and wait there for almost 1 and half hour before we got the Affidavit attested by a District Magistrate.u know wat , there was a shortage of Stamp papers there. Any thing is possible here. During last ramzan the market was short of Milk Pak Cream , which is a favourite of the students living in hostels for Sahri. This is really unbelievale. but there is reason for it and that is they wanted to increase the price and the cream of Rs 21 was selling for Rs 30 or 35. Khair yeh to hota hai idher. ok baki batein baad mein. abhi chat karni hai.

He checked my Blood pressure and found it slightly high.Cangratulations Tayyeb! now you can also boast of an , as our maths B teacher says, International disease. hehehe ;) so that was today's breaking news. Its under construction right now. Me and haseeb are building it. And I forgot one important thing to mention, my younger brothers' result has been declared. Abdul haseeb got 725 out of 850 with 85% and Bilal got 300/535 with 57%. Bilal needs to improve and work real hard. Ya Allah meray marks achay aajaain. Ameen

Che Guevara

Ernesto Rafael Guevara de la Serna (June 14, 1928 - October 9, 1967), commonly known as Che Guevara, was an Argentine-born Marxist revolutionary and Cuban guerrilla leader. “Che” is an Argentine expression for calling someone's attention, and in some other parts of Latin America, a slang for someone from Argentina.

Guevara was a member of Fidel Castro's 26th of July Movement, which seized power in Cuba in 1959. After the revolution Guevara became second only to Fidel Castro in the new government of Cuba. After a brief stints as president of the National Bank and Minister of Industries, Guevara did not settle in as part of the new Cuban government, and tried without success to stage revolutions through guerilla warfare in various countries, notably the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Bolivia, where he was captured by a unit of the Bolivian Ranger Battalion advised by United States Green Berets on October 8, 1967, and executed the following day.

Biography

In 1951, Ernesto set off from his home town of Córdoba on a motorcycle tour of Central and South America. The poverty he observed during this trip led him to intensify his study of Marxist ideologies. Following his graduation from the University of Buenos Aires medical school in 1953, he travelled to Guatemala where a populist leader, Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán, had recently been elected president. Ernesto met several followers of Fidel Castro who were in exile there. When the CIA sponsored an overthrow of Arbenz's rule, Ernesto volunteered to fight. Arbenz told his supporters to leave the country, and Ernesto briefly took refuge in the Argentine consulate. After moving to Mexico City, he renewed his friendship with Castro's associates. Ernesto met Castro when the latter arrived in the Mexican capital after being amnestied from political prison in Cuba, and joined his 26th of July Movement dedicated to the overthrow of Cuban Dictator Fulgencio Batista.

Castro, Che and 80 other insurgents departed Tuxpan, Mexico aboard the cabin cruiser "Granma" in November 1956 to invade Cuba and start the revolution. The boat had been owned by an American, so the name most likely meant Grandma, as a tribute to the previous owner's grandmother. Shortly after disembarking in a swampy area near Niquero in South-East Cuba, the expeditionaries were attacked by Batista's forces. Only 12 rebels survived. Che, the group's physician, laid down his knapsack containing medical supplies in order to pick up a box of ammunition dropped by a fleeing comrade, a moment which he later recalled as marking his transition from doctor to combatant.. Within months he rose to the highest rank, Comandante (Major), in the revolutionary army. His march on Santa Clara in late 1958, where his column derailed an armored train filled with Batista's troops and took over the city, was the final straw that forced Batista to flee the country.

His execution of deserters and spies in the revolutionary army, have led some to consider Guevara a ruthless leader. However those persons executed by Guevara or on his orders were condemned for the usual crimes punishable by death at times of war or in its aftermath: desertion, treason or crimes such as rape, torture or murder. For example, Dwight D. Eisenhower signed orders for imprisoned troops that had deserted to be executed. In 1959, Che Guevara was appointed commander of the La Cabana Fortress prison. During his term as commander of the fortress from 1959-1963, he oversaw the execution of what some estimate to be approximately 500 political prisoners and regime opponents. Many individuals imprisoned at La Cabana, such as poet and human rights activist Armando Valladares, allege that Guevara took particular and personal interest in the interrogation, torture, and execution of some prisoners. In fact, when Che's column had captured enemy soldiers who had not committed crimes against the public, such as rape and torture, he would simply take their ammo and release them.

Unlike other leaders, he gave up all the trappings of privilege and power in Cuba in order to return to the revolutionary battlefield and, ultimately, to die. He persuaded Castro to back him in the first, covert Cuban involvement in Africa. Guevara desired to first work with the Simba (aka "Lumumbaist") movement in the former Belgian Congo (later Zaire and currently the Democratic Republic of the Congo), with the goal of overthrowing the government and installing a Communist regime. He rapidly discovered that having worked for a successful revolutionary leader does not make one a successful revolutionary leader.

U.S. Army Special Forces advisors working with the Congolese army were able to monitor Che's communications, arrange to ambush the rebels and the Cubans whenever they attempted to attack, and interdict Guevara's supply lines. Guevara proved unable to supplant the native Simba leadership, and in fact was forced to place his troops under Simba command. Every military operation planned by him failed miserably. Late that same year, ill, humiliated and with only a few survivors of the force he had brought into the country, Guevara left the Congo.

Following a lengthy recuperation in Cuba, traveling on a false passport Guevara entered Bolivia in November of 1966, again with the idea of organizing a revolt and hoping to topple Bolivia's pro-U.S. military government and installing a Communist government there. A parcel of jungle land in Nancahazu was purchased by native Communists and turned over to him for use as a training area. The evidence suggests that this training was more hazardous than combat to Guevara and the Cubans accompanying him. Little was accomplished in the way of building a guerrilla army. On learning of his presence in Bolivia, President Rene Barrientos is alleged to have expressed the desire to see Che's head displayed on a pike in downtown La Paz. He ordered the Bolivian Army to hunt Guevara and his followers down.

Che Guevara traveled to Bolivia in an attempt to aid a popular uprising there, but there are many factors which he simply did not predict. First of all, there was an American presence in Bolivia; after the U.S. government learned of his location, CIA operatives were sent into Bolivia to aid the anti-insurrection effort, and the anti-insurrectionists were being armed and trained by American officials. There was also the lack of help which Che had expected when he undertook the journey. For example, Fidel had told him that the communist party in Bolivia would aid him in the insurrection but they did not.

Che and his insurrectionists found themselves cornered in Bolivia, the American aid to the Bolivian government on one end, and the lack of assistance from his allies. In addition to this, the CIA also helped anti-Castro Cuban exiles to set up interrogation houses for those Bolivians who were thought to be assisting Che Guevara and/or his guerillas, which were often used for torture of these individuals.

The anti-insurrectionists were notified of the location of Guevara's guerilla encampment by a deserter; and on October 8th, 1967the encampment was encircled and Che was captured while leading a patrol in the vicinity of La Higuera, Bolivia. His surrender was offered after being wounded multiple times in the legs and having his rifle destroyed by a bullet. According to soldiers present at the capture, during the skirmish, as soldiers approached Guevara, he shouted, "Do not shoot! I am Che Guevara and worth more to you alive than dead." Barrientos ordered his execution immediately upon being informed of Guevara's capture. Guevara was summarily executed; he was taken to a rugged old schoolhouse and bound by his hands to a board. Supposedly, Ernesto Guevara did have some last words before his death; he allegedly said to his executioner, “Shoot, coward, you are only going to kill a man,” after which he was shot in the heart.

A CIA agent and Veteran of the US invasion of Cuba at the Bay of Pigs, Felix Rodriguez, heard of Guevara's chapter and relayed the information to the CIA. He has said on multiple occasions that he was the one that shot Guevara. This is generally thought to be untrue. After the execution, Rodriguez took Che's Rolex watch, often proudly showing it to reporters during the ensuing years. Guevara died on October 9th. He was buried in an unmarked grave in the vicinity of the execution site after the CIA had removed his hands to send to different parts of the world to ensure his identity.

Also removed was Guevara's diary, which outlines the guerrilla war being fought in Bolivia. It tells of the group being forced to begin operations due to discovery by the Bolivian Army, the eventual and accidental split of the group, and the general failure of the guerrilla. It shows the split between Guevara and the Bolivian Communist Party that led the guerrilla to have significantly less soldiers than originally anticipated. It shows that Guevara had a great deal of difficulty recruiting the local populace due mainly to the fact that the guerrilla group had learned quechua and not the local language. As the campaign drew to an unexpected close, Guevara was becoming increasingly sick. He suffered from asthma, and most of the guerrilla's last offensives were carried out to obtain medicine for the sick leader.

The Bolivian Diary was quickly and crudely translated by Ramparts Magazine and circulated around the world. Fidel Castro has denied involvement with this circulation. This is a considered a strange accusation, for the diary does not idealize guerrilla warfare.

From the group of 27 guerrillas that set out on Febuary 1, 1967, only 3 survived after October 9, 1967. They crossed the Andes Mountains into Chile. There, they were met by Salvador Allende, who gave them asylum and helped them reach Cuba.

In 1999, the skeletal remains of Guevara's body were exhumed, positively identified by DNA matching and returned to Cuba, where he is revered as a heroic revolutionary leader.

Che's book, Guerrilla Warfare, was seen for a time as the definitive philosophy for fighting irregular wars. However, with his death in Bolivia his "Cuban Style" of revolution outlined in the book was thought by some to be ineffective. Guevara believed that a small group (foco) of guerrillas, by violently targeting the government, could actively foment revolutionary feelings among the general populace, so that it was not necessary to build broad organizations and advance the revolutionary struggle in measured steps before launching armed insurrection.

In the late 1960s, he became a popular icon for revolution and youthful political ideals in Western culture. A dramatic photograph of Che taken by photographer Alberto Korda in 1961 soon became one of the century's most recognizable images, and the portrait was simplified and reproduced on a vast array of merchandise, such as T-shirts, posters, and baseball caps.

Che's reputation even extended into theatre where he is depicted as the narrator in the musical Evita, who becomes disillusioned with the increasingly corrupt and tyrannical Eva Peron and her dictator husband. This is taking some creative license, as Guevara's only interaction with Eva Peron was to write her a facetious letter in his youth, asking her for a Jeep.

Guevara has been represented in the movies by Francisco Rabal (1968), Omar Sharif (1969), Alfredo Vasco (1999), and Gael García Bernal (2002) and (2003).

Ideology
Donald Kagan wrote that Che "...appeared to have been a devoted Marxist...", John Gerassi was convinced that Che "was not a Communist in the most traditional sense of the word...". Fidel Castro suggest in an interview with Gianni Mina, that "Che Guevara's Communism was never more than formal, even at the end." and Richard Gott believes that "Guevara had never been a Communist."

His first wife Hilda Gadea wrote "because of his opinions Ernesto became known as a Communist."

An interesting insight into Guevara's thoughts on democracy can be see during a press conference at the United Nations. When journalist Nat Hentoff asked Guevara" "Can you conceive of any time in the future when there will be free elections in Cuba?"

Not waiting for the translator, Guevara laughed heartily at Hentoff. "In Cuba?" He said, and moved on.

Days are passing quickly( u know that i m waiting for my final year to start in September 2004) and ain't doing much . just killing time by sleeping and surfing the net. I want to do a course in Microcontrollers and Networking to help me in my final year project but haven't decided where m i gonna do it from. Actually there aren't any institutes here offering courses in Engineering softwares. The CCISE is offering some courses this summer . Hopefully i'll join one of them. And i have also gained some extra pounds during the loooooong exam. i m 75 kilo now. i've started jogging in the afternoons along with table tennis and squash but now swimming is also a choice coz its a very good sport and exercise and the body moves against the water and lots of muscles are moved. If any one has a better idea to flatten the tummy then plz let me know :)

At last i m free. My exam is over . i started preparing for it in december last year and it has taken 6 months .phew... The good thing is that its over now and i m free to do anything i like playing cricket, sqash ; chating , reading fiction and doing anything i like.

My exam finished yesterday but today i m back in university ;) i intend to meet my teacher for guidance regarding internship and final year project. I forgot to tell u , i m in final year now :)Well the result is yet to be announced and the classes will commence on 1st September but i have already promoted my self to final year.

Life is full of problems. Most of them, we have created ourselves. We want so much from life , even things which we dont deserve and then if we dont get those things we call life full of problems. Everybody wants a perfect life . Full of friends ,with whom one can share his good and bad feelings, joys and sorrows and almost every thing; and every facility life has to offer. But only a few lucky ones get these things. This is especially true in case of friends. Friends have so much to do with ur life. Sometimes we want to befriend someone special , very special but it simply doesn't happen and at the same time that person is someone else's very good friend. Well, these are the ways of life. And in search of new friends we even tend to forget our old ones. I think we need friends because we need attention. Ignorance is bliss but ignored is terrible.

Today was a busy day. I went to Hostel in the morning as our PPM class was to start at 10:20 am. I started writing my Digital Electronics practical copy at around 7:45 am and finished it at 4:00 pm. Then rushed to Sadar to catch the shopping coach. Alhamdolialah reached there on time.
Today was Baber's birthday and he turned 22 today. MashaAllah. PPM's course was finished today and hopefully gulla ( Sir Gulzar ) will also finish his course as soon as possible.

Today was the worst day i've had in months. Today was a holiday in my university but i didn't know about it because there there wasn't any notice issued. The day wasn't good from the start. I got late in the morning so i had to go by the university bus . I waited from 7:40 am to 8:00 am in extreme cold but the bus didnt arrive because of the holiday.So i had to go by public transport. When i reached there , i was shocked to see all the classes locked up. I was really frustrated to see all this. I went to the inquiry office to inquire about the holiday but he told me that they didn't know anything about it so they didn't issue a notice. Then i went to the VC's office coz i wanted to bring this matter into his notice. But i didnt know that my real problem was about to start now. when i talked to the secrectary of VC he was very offended and said in a very bad mood that this was none of his business and that i should ask the Chairman instead. But i stood there and told him that he must do something about it so that nothing like this happens in future. Well i dont want to write what that bastard said and told me to meet the VC my self. I went inside but he was also in a very bad mood just like the secretary. I don't know why they felt so offended by this. They thought that i was being rude to them. Well he asked my to leave and i did so. But i was really disappointed by my university. They administration is full of bloody bastards , from the VC to the clerk, all are mean and stupid bastards. They dont give a damn to other people's problems. They just fucking do what they like.They follow the rules and regulations only when it benefits them and causes inconvenience to others.
Yeah log to kameengi aur kaam chori mein aam pakistanion say bhe do kadam aagay hain.
And look at their haraamtobi that after all this they put a notice on the notice board announcing a holiday and they wrote 11th Dec on it instead of 12. kameenay

And hassan got the card of tribal and has shifted to his new room. Atleast some good news :)

I finally got the card today.phew.. What a day it was. But the cards of Tribal hostel were finished and I had no choice but to take the card of hostel # 3 new block. I hope it serves the purpose for which I took it.
I also submitted the practical copy and assignments of Electrical Circuit Analysis to the teacher. Spent last night in completing it , the uet style . yani chaapa ;) But i made the practical copy myself in Electronic Workbench.
The biggest problem here is that the teacher doesnt take the pain of checking our work. They just fulfill the formality.

Today was the hostel cards allotment day in university. I also applied for one but was denied on the basis that i didnt reside in the hostel last year. Actually i dont need the card but i was taking it for my friend Hassan . A market is setup in hostels during the allotment for the selling and buying of hostel cards. I spent my first 2 years in university in hostel coz my father was posted to kohat but when he was posted to Peshawar i cancelled my card instead of selling it to somebody.Selling ur card to outsiders is illegal. But now i m paying the price for not doing an illegal act. The chairman wont even listen to what i have to say. His only argument is that why did i leave the hostel in first place. And when i told him that i did not want to illegally sell my card he just said "choro choro".
Its soo sad. Even the teacher incharge said that i should have kept the card with me or sold it. After many requests and an application they were willing to give me a card after the allotment of all the years. So now despite the fact that i m in 3rd year, i will get my card after the "chargs" (new comers).
